Brighton Chapter
Sunday sea dips at Hove Seafront on the English Channel. Free to join, all men welcome.
Hove Seafront, East Sussex
Our second chapter to begin Ice Breaking. Join us Sundays at 8am at Hove Seafront (between King Alfred Leisure Centre and Rockwater).
Meet us on the beach, walking down from the promenade towards the waters edge roughly in line with the Fish Shack and the group of brightly coloured, chained up kayaks. We often have a fire pit going, you will no doubt see numerous men grouped together in dryrobe®.
We will hug (or handshake!) and chat, connecting while we wait for any stragglers, normally dipping by 8.15am. We take time to pause and come into our breath, before warming up with exercises. We dip, some short, some long, but we respect the water and listen to our own bodies, each person is different. Once we have dipped, we use movement to ensure we can harness the energy the cold water gives us for the rest of the day. This is all followed by a hot cuppa, connection, chat and warming up by the fire.
Some people come for the water, some for the community, many for both. If you are new please let the group know on your arrival. Please fill out the Waiver form if you plan to join us and provide evidence of this when you arrive. You always dip at your own risk.
